How I work

The Root & Rise Method

Everything I do comes back to one idea: you can't think your way out of a pattern that was never formed by thinking in the first place.

The unspoken contract

Most of us carry an unspoken contract, a belief formed early, often before we had words for it, that said love, safety, or worth had to be earned. Mine said I had to be useful to be safe. Yours might say something different. But the shape is the same: a quiet rule you've been living by without ever being aware of.

You can't logic your way out of a belief you didn't logic your way into. That's why the belief doesn't shift just by understanding it better. It lives underneath your thinking mind, so that's where the work has to go.

Root.

This is where we find the unspoken contract itself, the belief your nervous system decided was true, usually decades ago, usually to keep you safe in some way. Using RTT (Rapid Transformational Therapy) and hypnotherapy, which often bring up inner child memories along the way, we go beneath the surface to where that belief actually lives, and we change it at the root. Not manage it. Not understand it better. Change it.

Here's what that actually looks like in a session.

What Happens in a Session

You don't need to prepare anything, or know what to expect. I'll guide you through everything, step by step.

We start by helping your body and mind settle into a deeply relaxed state, similar to how you might feel during meditation, quiet, calm, and turned inward. From there, I gently guide you back to the moment where a certain belief about yourself first took root, often much earlier than you'd expect.

Whatever comes up, comes up. Feelings, memories, images, there's no right or wrong here. Being in that relaxed state, with me there guiding you, often makes it much easier for the answers you've been carrying inside to finally surface. It's remarkable how often the exact root of what's been holding you back reveals itself in that space.

Once we find it together, we work to heal it, right there in the session.

Towards the end, I create something just for you, a short, personal recording that reframes and reworks that old belief into a new one. You'll listen to it every day for twenty one days. That's genuinely all it takes for a new belief to settle in and take hold, because just as the old one took time to form, the new one needs a little consistency to become just as natural.

That's it. No pressure, no performance. Just you, safely guided back to the root, and supported all the way to a new way of being.

Rise.

Once the root shifts, the way you move through the world starts to shift with it. This is where daily practice comes in: small, consistent tools that help the new pattern take hold and stay.

I'm formally trained and certified in RTT. The tools I use alongside it in this phase come from independent study, not additional certifications: Byron Katie's The Work, for questioning the thoughts that used to run the show; Positive Intelligence, Shirzad Chamine's approach to catching self-sabotage the moment it happens; and Tsultrim Allione's Feeding Your Demons, a somatic practice from her teaching and book, alongside the work of Martha Beck. Together, they've shaped how I help people stay with what's difficult instead of managing around it, and I draw on both to work with what words alone can't reach. I've studied each of these deeply and use them deliberately, adapted to what each person actually needs, not as a fixed program.

Root work changes the belief. Rise work keeps you living from the new one.

You don't have to carry the same unspoken contract for the rest of your life. The belief that got you this far doesn't have to be the one that decides what happens next.

Whatever your unspoken contract says, whether it shows up as people-pleasing, high-functioning anxiety, or a sense you've never quite belonged, it's the same root wearing a different face.

A gentle next step
